You matter.
If the person is living at home, care partners may feel:
alone and isolated and need someone to listen,
may need help, but not want to ask for or accept help,
may feel stress that can affect their health
If the person is living in long-term care, care partners may:
be adjusting to a change in their role and could feel less important or useful
be lonely and missing the company of the person
feel guilty about not being able to care for the person at home
